Welcome aboard, Jess! As you can see, this is a brand new meetup site so there isn't much here at the moment. I and some of the others have some additional projects in the works, but I haven't had the time to list them as yet.

You seem to have a variety of interests, too. Let me know if you find a project that you would like to promote and I will list it for you.

Jess, I'm so pleased to see you want to volunteer to help people. I know of about six members of SD SHOut and/or HFSD who are interested in seeing us do some charitable work or social action work. I suggest you volunteer wherever you can for the time being, get some experience and ideas from others, and in the meantime, maybe we can form a committee of interested people to formulate our own plan of action for the near future. What do you think?

Yes you can volunteer at Dreams for Change, she is an experienced social worker dedicated to moving homeless people trapped in their cars into permanent housing. [masked].
There is also the regional task force for homelessness in San Diego
